| hughey networkz continued to pile on additional work rules and
changing technology that made installations more difficult and time
consuming while decreasing the profit margin associated with
installation. They established a minimum installation quota that if it
was not met you did not receive recurring monthly revenue from previous
installs. But they still wanted you to guarantee past installs.
We had one instance where a customer insisted that we install on a
roof against our explicit advice to the contrary. The only line of
site was from the roof. We warned the customer that it would be a
problem with winter snow and ice. The customer insisted that we
continue the installation and would assume the risk of snow and ice.
When the customer complained to hugo about lack of service it was
determined that it was a snow and ice problem.
Hugo expected us to take whatever measures necessary to remedy the
problem.
Had we not installed on the roof we would have walked away without
payment for an hour of travel and several hundred dollars of equipment
that we might never need. Since we did install at the insistence
of the customer, we were expected to pay for a lift truck and another
hour of travel to fix a customer created problem. All for net
profit of about $70 we made on the initial installation.
This was our "last straw" with the supplier.
Call us and we will try to hook you up with some of the local
terrestrial wireless companies that are less expensive and do not have
the download restrictions imposed by both of the satellite internet
companies.
