Update: We tried a drop ship web store for home
electronics December 2008 through March 2009. Overall costs
exceeded revenues and the site was shut down effective May 1st,
2009.
I learned a great deal in terms of driving traffic to a website.
I also learned that competitive margins on home electronics are
very small for the effort involved in maintaining the site.
I am sure that individuals that can devote full time to the
endeavor can be successful. Low margins with high volume
and low overhead can likely produce a decent revenue stream.
We continue to pursue a unique product that we
can promote and sell using the internet.
